The first creation in the Ton Pels Signature Series is "The Godfather" Softail frame. This frame is an absolute killer. Inspired by the brutal lines of his "Godfather VI" Drag Race Bike, Ton designed a frame that is definitely not "just another frame". The new Godfather frame has smoothly flowing, radical lines and is different to anything else available today. The stretched Godfather frame features a lowered neck post with 36 degrees neck rake and takes a 250, 280 or even the latest 300 tires without any problem. Technically speaking this frame is also well designed and thought out. To keep the perfect balance, and being a racer Ton knows how important the balance of a motorcycle is, the engine and transmission were to be kept in the center of the frame. To get the rear belt around the massive extra wide rear tire the primary drive had to be moved 45 mm out. To make this possible, Ton had to develop an offset kit that moved the primary 45 mm out but at the same time did not put too much extra load on the crankshaft, due to the 45 mm extension. The offset kit Ton designed includes a new primary spacer with a built in crankshaft support bearing. This support bearing takes the excessive load of the crankshaft. The lowered neck post of the frame allows the use of stock length front forks in conjunction with 3Þ raked triple trees. This gives the frame an extra low and sleek look. Frame height and the position of the motor mounts allows the installation of Big Twin Evolution style engines, including strokers. The frame takes stock style head bearings and 1986 thru 1999 style OEM or aftermarket Softail shocks. As an option we also offer hidden mount curved fender struts and an oil tank with integrated battery tray. The swingarm comes complete with pivot bearings, pivot axle, wheel axle and axle adjusters. Frame and swingarm must be ordered separately.
